Barbi Agricola, the founder and driving force behind Agricola Law, embarked on this journey several years ago after moving to the Auburn, Opelika area in 2014. With determination and unparalleled legal acumen, Barbi built the firm from the ground up, and quickly created a highly successful practice known for its dedication to clients and a track record of exceptional results. Agricola Law has become synonymous with trust, integrity, and the relentless pursuit of justice.

In an inspiring twist of fate, Barbi’s father, Al Agricola, a veteran lawyer with over 45 years of esteemed legal service, joined the flourishing firm started and built by his youngest daughter. Al, renowned across the State of Alabama, had his own successful law practice based in Montgomery, Alabama. Al brought a wealth of experience, deep community ties, and a profound understanding of the law to Agricola Law. This addition not only strengthened the firm’s capabilities but also enriched its legacy.

The decision for Al to join the firm came at a pivotal moment. Following a significant health event, it became paramount for Al and his wife, Bash, to be closer to family since none of their three adult daughters had lived in Montgomery for the last several years. The decision to join Barbi’s thriving practice was a natural step and not only allowed Al and his wife to be closer to Barbi in proximity and support, but also an opportunity for Al to contribute to the burgeoning workload at Agricola Law. The AgLaw family, and even local lawyers and courthouse staff, affectionately call him “Papa” or “Papa Al,” since Barbi and her two sisters grew up calling him “Papa” instead of “Dad” or Daddy.” Al and Barbi are grateful to have the unique gift of practicing law together, which neither imagined would ever be an option. Barbi considers it a privilege and honor to work side-by-side with her Papa.

While many may assume that Al was the founder, indeed, it was Barbi’s entrepreneurial spirit and legal prowess that laid the foundation for what Agricola Law is today – a well-respected, top-tier law firm with a personal touch. Papa Al beams with pride when he talks about what Barbara has been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time and how she did it all on her own.
